Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using RememberBill, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into this agreement. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Extension.

2. Description of the Service

RememberBill is a personal productivity tool designed to help you track and manage your bills. It provides features such as:

• Bill tracking with due dates and categories
• Reminder notifications
• Budget monitoring
• Local data storage and backup options

The Service is offered as-is and is subject to ongoing improvements.

3. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use one copy of the Extension on any desktop device that you own or control solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree that you:

• Will use RememberBill only for personal, non-commercial purposes
• Are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter
• Will maintain your own backups of any important financial data
• Will not use the Extension in any unlawful or harmful manner

5. Data & Privacy

RememberBill stores all user data locally in your browser and does not transmit any data to external servers except for optional anonymous analytics if you opt in. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.

By using RememberBill, you acknowledge that:

• Your data is stored on your device
• You are responsible for exporting and safeguarding backups
• We are not liable for any data loss caused by browser updates, uninstalls, or system errors

To delete all your data:

1. Open RememberBill
2. Go to Settings → Data Management
3. Click "Clear All Data"
4. Alternatively, uninstalling the Extension will permanently delete all associated data

6. Third-Party Services

RememberBill may use the following third-party services:

• Google Analytics (optional, only if you opt in) for anonymous usage statistics
• Chrome Notifications API for bill reminders

Your use of these services is also subject to the respective terms and policies of these third parties.

7. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, and visual elements associated with RememberBill are the property of the creators. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Extension without express permission.

8. Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RememberBill is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• Reminders will be delivered on time in every case
• Data will remain intact through all system changes
• All features will function across every browser version

In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed US $50. We are not liable for missed payments, financial loss, or any indirect damages resulting from the use or misuse of the Extension.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RememberBill, its creators, affiliates, and respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

10. Modifications to the Service

We may add, remove, or modify features of RememberBill at any time. We will notify users of substantial changes to these Terms through an in-extension banner or release notes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using RememberBill at any time. We reserve the right to disable access or terminate service in cases of abuse or misuse.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, New York.

13. Export Compliance

The Extension may be subject to export laws and regulations of the United States and other jurisdictions. You represent that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

14. Google & Chrome Web Store

These Terms are between you and RememberBill only, not with Google Inc. or the Chrome Web Store. Google is not responsible for the Extension or the content thereof. Google and the Chrome Web Store may have their own terms and policies that also govern your use of their services.

15. Accessibility

We strive to make RememberBill accessible to all users and aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards within the Extension interface. If you encounter accessibility issues, please contact us.
